Terms and Conditions of Sale
Last updated: October 28, 2026
These terms govern package travel contracts and travel service contracts entered into with Tailored Apulia, which operates under the Esichia brand. They are subject to the Italian Tourism Code (Legislative Decree no. 79 of May 23, 2011, as amended by Legislative Decree no. 62 of May 21, 2018, implementing Directive (EU) 2015/2302) and, where not covered, to the Italian Consumer Code and Civil Code.
Together with your travel proposal, the standard information form required by law and the booking confirmation, these terms make up your contract.

2. Definitions
Traveler: anyone who intends to enter into a contract, or is entitled to travel under a contract already concluded.
Package: a combination of at least two different types of travel services for the same trip (for example accommodation, transportation, vehicle rental, other tourist services such as excursions and experiences), in the cases set out in Article 33 of the Italian Tourism Code.
Single travel service: one service on its own (for example only a transfer or only an experience) that does not form a package.
Organizer: the business that combines the services and sells them as a package; for Esichia packages, this is Tailored Apulia.
3. Your tailor-made proposal
Every journey begins with a conversation with you, the Travel Personality Portrait, and a written proposal designed for you. Before the contract is concluded, we provide you with the standard information form and all the information required by Article 34 of the Italian Tourism Code: included services, dates, accommodation, transportation, total price, payment terms, required documents and cancellation terms.
Descriptions, photos and texts on this website are for illustration only; the written proposal and confirmation prevail.
4. Concluding the contract
The contract is concluded when you accept the proposal in writing and we send you confirmation on a durable medium (for example an email with a PDF summary).
All services are subject to availability at the time of booking.
5. Price and payments
Prices are quoted in euros and include what is listed in the proposal. They do not include anything the proposal does not expressly mention (for example international flights, gratuities, personal extras, local tourist taxes unless included).
The amount and due date of the deposit and the balance, and the accepted payment methods, are set out in your travel proposal.
Failure to pay the amounts due by the stated deadlines is a breach of contract and allows us to terminate the contract, without prejudice to compensation for damages.
6. Price changes
After the contract is concluded, the price may increase only if the proposal expressly allows it, and only as a direct result of changes in the cost of passenger transportation due to fuel or other energy costs, in taxes or fees on travel services imposed by third parties, or in the relevant exchange rates (Article 39 of the Italian Tourism Code). We will notify you of any increase, with the reasons and the calculation, at least 20 days before the start of your trip. If the increase exceeds 8% of the total price, you may accept it or cancel without penalty. You are entitled to a price reduction if those same costs decrease.
7. Changes before departure
We may make minor changes to the terms of the contract, informing you clearly on a durable medium. If before departure we are forced to significantly change one or more of the main features of the services, or cannot meet special requests we have accepted, we will inform you without delay: you may accept the change or cancel without penalty and receive a refund of all payments, and we may offer you a replacement package (Article 40 of the Italian Tourism Code).
8. Cancellation by the traveler
You may cancel the contract at any time before the start of your trip by paying the cancellation fees set out below (Article 41 of the Italian Tourism Code).
Cancellation fees, based on how many days remain before departure, are set out in your travel proposal and in the information form we give you before the contract is concluded.
You may cancel without any fee before the start of your trip if unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances occur at or near the destination that significantly affect the performance of the package or the transportation to the destination. In that case you are entitled to a full refund of all payments, but not to additional compensation.
For contracts concluded away from business premises, you also have the right to withdraw without penalty and without giving a reason within five days of the conclusion of the contract or, if later, of receiving the contract terms, in the cases and with the exceptions set out in Article 41 of the Italian Tourism Code.
Refunds due are paid without undue delay and in any case within 14 days of cancellation.
9. Cancellation by the organizer
We may terminate the contract and give you a full refund of all payments, without additional compensation, if we are prevented from performing it by unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances and we notify you without undue delay before the start of the trip (Article 41 of the Italian Tourism Code).
10. Transfer of the contract
You may transfer the contract to another person who meets all the conditions for the trip by notifying us on a durable medium at least seven days before the start of the trip. You and the person to whom you transfer the contract are jointly liable for payment of the balance and of any additional costs arising from the transfer, which we will communicate and document (Article 38 of the Italian Tourism Code).
11. Travel documents
Every traveler must hold a valid passport or identity document and any visas or travel authorizations required to enter Italy and the Schengen Area. We provide general information on passport and visa requirements for your country; please confirm them with the competent authorities before you travel. Minors must travel with their own documents and, if not accompanied by both parents, with any authorizations required.
12. Performance of the trip and lack of conformity
We are responsible for the performance of all services included in the package, even when they are provided by others (Article 42 of the Italian Tourism Code). If a service during your trip is not as agreed, please tell us right away, through your contact person or our phone and WhatsApp numbers, so that we can put it right. If we do not remedy it, you are entitled to a price reduction for the period of non-conformity and, where applicable, to compensation for damages, within the limits and in the ways set out in Article 43 of the Italian Tourism Code.
You are entitled to compensation for loss of enjoyment of the holiday in the cases set out in Article 46 of the Italian Tourism Code.
Compensation is due within the limits set by the Italian Tourism Code and by the international conventions that apply to the services included in the package.
13. Assistance
If you are in difficulty during your trip, we will give you appropriate assistance without delay, in particular by providing information on health services, local authorities and consular assistance, and by helping you communicate remotely and find alternative travel arrangements (Article 45 of the Italian Tourism Code). If the difficulty was caused intentionally or through your own fault, we may charge a reasonable fee for that assistance.
14. Outdoor, sea and active experiences
Some experiences (boat trips, snorkeling, horseback rides, e-bikes, wellness treatments) require adequate physical fitness and compliance with the instructions of skippers, guides and instructors. Please tell us before booking about any condition that could affect your safety.
Boat trips and outdoor activities depend on the weather and sea conditions: for your safety, they may be rescheduled or replaced. What happens in those cases is set out in your travel proposal.
15. Insolvency and bankruptcy protection
Packages sold by Tailored Apulia are covered by a guarantee which, in the event of our insolvency or bankruptcy, ensures the refund of all payments and, if transportation is included, the repatriation of travelers (Article 47 of the Italian Tourism Code).
Guarantor: Fondo Garanzia Viaggi, managed by Garanzia Viaggi S.r.l., Via Nazionale 60, 00184 Rome, Italy (www.garanziaviaggi.it), certificate no. A/119.6581/5/2026, valid from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027
16. Insurance
We recommend that you purchase travel insurance covering cancellation, medical expenses and baggage.
17. Single travel services
If you purchase a single travel service that does not form a package (for example only a transfer, only an experience or only accommodation), the package travel rules do not apply. In that case the proposal states whether Tailored Apulia provides the service directly or acts as an intermediary on behalf of the supplier, and the terms set out in the proposal apply, together with these terms where compatible.
18. Complaints
You may send us a complaint at info@esichia.com or at our certified email address tailoredapulia@pec.it. During your trip, please report any problem right away so that we can help. We will reply as soon as possible.
19. Personal data
We process your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
20. Governing law and jurisdiction
The contract is governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections granted by the law of your country of habitual residence. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction set by the mandatory rules protecting consumers; in all other cases, the Court of Taranto, Italy, has jurisdiction.
21. Language
These terms are available in Italian, English, French and German. In case of differences between the versions, the Italian version prevails.
